A Valuable Education

We Care About You

Lutheran colleges and universities are committed to developing young men and women into the best people they can be. We want to ensure that they lead lives of worth and service. We want them to be prepared for a rapidly changing world. We want to help them develop their faith — not through mere recitation — but through a thoughtful and challenging education.

We Are Liberal Arts Colleges

We are all liberal arts colleges. We challenge students to learn in many different ways, and to study many different subjects. The goal of this type of education is to prepare our students to meet the changing expectations of the modern world and economy. We do not train our students to do any one job. We give them the background to achieve success in the long term, both in their careers and in life.

We Are Residential Communities

Our students live, study and play on our campuses. We expect them to be contributing members of our communities. We actively seek students who have diverse backgrounds and talents. We also offer a rich array of spiritual activities, ranging from traditional chapel services to choirs that sing classic Christian hymns to faith-based service organizations.

We Foster Spiritual Growth

We want to enhance our students’ faith. We remain committed to exposing our students to ideas of faith and values. We expect them to have challenging conversations about what they believe and how those beliefs will guide them into the future. We believe that this will help them to be stronger people when they leave our campuses, and that they will, therefore, live meaningful lives.

We have completed extensive research to quantify the value of the Lutheran college and university experience. We do not rely merely on anecdotal information to assess the experience we offer to our students and the lasting value we provide our alumni. We actively seek to assess the quality of our experience and look for opportunities to continue to provide value to our students and church communities in the years ahead.
